H.Y. Livesay Middle School opened its doors in August of 1974. It is named for former Lincoln Memorial University president Herbert Yeary Livesay.  Students from Ellen Myers Primary School make up the student body of LMS. H.Y. Livesay Middle School serves grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 in north Claiborne County Tennessee and is part of the Claiborne County Schools system.
